The leading financial institution in Germany, Deutsche Bank (DB) is also among the largest investment banks in Europe. It was founded in 1870, and it presently provides financial services to companies, governments, institutional investors, small and medium-sized businesses and private individuals. Its business is organized into six segments: Corporate Bank (CB), Investment Bank (IB), Private Bank (PB), Asset Management (AM), Capital Release Unit (CRU), and Corporate & Other (C&O). Its Investment Bank division grew its revenues in 2020 to EUR 9.3 billion, an increase of nearly one-third over 2019. This growth was driven by corporate and sovereign financing needs and the associated market activity.
